In the last week of July, Orygen bought together its new Youth Advisory Council  and  Youth Research Council members from across Australia to induct them into their new roles which they will hold for the next two years. This was a great opportunity for all members to get acquainted with each other and also to learn more about Orygen, our rich history and key staff at that they will be working with regularly.
 
We recognise the importance of incorporating diverse voices to shape our work and will be working closely with the councils, the ‘Live it, Speak it’ team and the Youth Engagement & Training Initiative (YETI) network to ensure broader groups of young people have a voice with a particular focus on young people under 18 and those in rural and remote areas.
 
We look forward to seeing more impactful contributions from the next generation of council members and thank the pioneering members for paving the way.
