Who should apply

The Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work is designed for workers with lived experience to obtain a nationally recognised qualification in mental health.

What you'll learn

Over a 10-month period, students will learn and gain skills in:

  • providing consumer mental health peer work
  • applying evidence-based mental health frameworks, standards and practices
  • working with people from diverse backgrounds, including First Nations people
  • work health and safety in the mental health sector.

The course is made up of interactive virtual workshops, online self-paced learning and an 80-hour placement. The supervised placement is a key part of the course and will allow you to apply your skills in the real world.

On completion, graduates will receive a nationally-accredited qualification.
