Mr Adam Hosburgh

Adam Horsburgh has been the Chief Executive Officer of Austin Health since June 2020. He has extensive health sector management experience in Victoria, as well as in the UK National Health Service (NHS).

Adam has also held senior policy and advisory roles with the Victorian Government, including the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

Prior to joining Austin Health, Adam was Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Melbourne Health.

At DHHS, he was the Director of Performance and System Design and prior to this Adam spent eight years at Monash Health. This included responsibility for managing a portfolio of clinical services that operated across multiple acute hospital sites and extensive community-based services, as well as delivering financial, access and quality performance metrics. Adam also held role the role of Executive Director, Performance Strategy and Innovation during his time at Monash Health.

A graduate of the UK's NHS Management Training Scheme, Adam also held a variety of operational management roles in the NHS.  While in the UK, he also worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers Public Sector Consulting practice where he undertook financial and operational improvement projects across NHS Trusts and Social Services departments.
