Dr Mary-Anne Dehar

Dr Mary-Anne Dehar is Orygen's Chief People Officer, responsible for leading the organisation's People Experience and Wellbeing function. She leads the team responsible for workforce planning, talent acquisition, reward and recognition,  learning, performance and development, leadership development, diversity, equity and inclusion, employment relations, workplace health and safety and volunteer engagement.

Mary-Anne has more than 25 years' experience in people and culture leadership across complex organisational environments including social and environmental research. Before joining Orygen, she was General Manager, People and Capability at New Zealand's National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA), where she led the full People and Culture portfolio across a nationally significant environmental science research and consulting organisation.

With a background in organisational psychology, Mary-Anne brings extensive expertise in human resources, organisational development, and work health, safety and wellbeing.  She is passionate about building high-performing, values-driven cultures that enable organisations and their people to deliver meaningful impact.
