Saul is an 18-year-old biomedical science student and aspiring doctor. He grew up on Gubbi Gubbi country in the Sunshine Coast, and now studies in Brisbane.  With a background in youth mental health advocacy, Saul previously sat on the federal government’s Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Youth Advisory Committee, working with the Mental Health Commission, Suicide Prevention Office, and Department of Health and Aged Care to help shape policy and programs for young people around Australia.

Living with ADHD and informed by personal experience in the mental health system, Saul is passionate about improving early intervention, reducing the stigma around seeking support, and expanding mental health access in rural and regional communities. He is especially committed to making mental health care more equitable and accessible for people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, and is most interested in public health policy, mental health research, and Liverpool Football Club, not necessarily in that order.
