Understanding eating disorders

Understanding eating disorders

Eating disorders can have a large impact on the health and well-being of children and young people. In this workshop, we will describe signs and symptoms of eating disorders in children and young people. We will explore ways to have conversations about eating and body image with children and young people. You will learn about the types of support that are available and how and where to refer children and young people with problematic eating behaviour.

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is specifically designed for professionals working with children, young people and families in the north-western and western metropolitan regions of Melbourne, who may not have specialist mental health training. If you are working with children, young people and families in other geographic areas, please contact us to discuss registration, on 03 9966 9100.
