Orygen Institute recently hosted an online discussion on the impact of climate change on young people's mental health. The event was an opportunity to share results from a national poll commissioned by Orygen that found that climate distress was having a significant impact on the mental health of young Australians.
An expert panel explored how climate change can impact young people's mental health, and emphasised the need for action on climate change and discussed the recommended government policy initiatives to address these issues.
Orygen thanks all who contributed to this important conversation. We hope that you gained a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by young people regarding climate distress and mental health, and what can be done about it.
We look forward to continuing the conversation and working together to create a sustainable future for all.
