Youth Advisory Council 2023

Born and raised in rural Mount Isa, Grace (she/her) currently lives in Meanjin (Brisbane) and practises as a corporate lawyer in the infrastructure and energy space.

Grace’s interest in mental health and advocacy stems from both her lived experience with mental ill-health and her observations of mental ill-health and wellbeing in the wider community.

Grace is passionate about improving quality of service delivery and access to opportunities in rural and remote areas. With an interest in holistic approaches to mental health, Grace hopes to use her position on Orygen’s Youth Advisory Council as an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the mechanics of mental health services and research. Her ultimate aim is to contribute to a positive impact on the quality of mental health services in rural and remote communities.
