Research to practice: knowledge translation in youth mental health

A significant gap exists between the latest research evidence and what is occurring in clinical practice in the field of youth mental health. Over a long period, many have expressed aspirations towards bridging the research–practice gap and highlighted the importance of doing so.1–3 Yet, efforts to take ‘what works’ from research and apply it in clinical practice often end up facing numerous barriers.
