International student resources

International student resources

It's common for international students to face mental health challenges, including suicidal thoughts and behaviours. They are also less likely than local students to seek help for these issues.

This video series aims to normalise discussions about mental health and suicide among international students and encourage students to seek help if they need it.

We co-designed the video format and content with seven international students, resulting in an interview-style approach focused on students' lived experiences of suicide. Our team conducted and filmed interviews, with an international student assisting in the final edit.

The series features the personal stories of Adrian, Amanda, Leah, and Jay, international students studying in Melbourne, who have agreed to share their experiences.
